Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, Professor Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, the College of Tourism Sciences organized the Institutional Ramadan Basket Initiative on Thursday, March 12, 2026, in the presence of a number of the college staff members and students.

The initiative aims to support underprivileged families and promote the spirit of social solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan by preparing and distributing 100 food baskets to deserving families. This effort contributes to alleviating living burdens and strengthening the values of cooperation and generosity.

This initiative also comes within the framework of supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 1: No Poverty, Goal 2: Zero Hunger, and Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities, emphasizing the active role of the college in serving the community and promoting the principles of humanitarian and voluntary work among its members.
