Under the direction of the Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, Professor Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, the Technology Incubator Unit, in cooperation with the Presidency of the University of Mosul / Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit, organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Role of the Technology Incubator in Innovation and University Entrepreneurship.” The workshop was held on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in the college hall, with the attendance of a number of the college’s students.

The workshop was delivered by Engineer Yasser Mahmoud Hussein, who highlighted the importance of technology incubators in supporting entrepreneurial ideas and transforming them into applicable projects. He also addressed their role in developing students’ skills and enhancing their spirit of innovation, thereby contributing to preparing a generation capable of keeping pace with labor market demands.

This workshop comes as part of the college’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).
