The College of Tourism Sciences Organizes a Chess Tournament for Staff

The College of Tourism Sciences organized a chess tournament for its staff on Thursday, April 16, 2026, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Hussein, Head of the Student Activities Unit. This event was held as part of the college’s efforts to support extracurricular activities and promote a positive and interactive environment within the college.

The tournament was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, along with a number of staff members. The competition was characterized by focus, calmness, and a strong spirit of challenge.

The tournament concluded with the victory of Assistant Lecturer Osama Mohammed Ahmed from the Department of Tourism Studies, who secured first place after delivering an outstanding performance.

This activity comes as part of the college’s efforts to develop mental skills and encourage activities that enhance the university work environment, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being).
