The College of Tourism Sciences Participates in the “Shareek” Initiative: Gate of Hope

The College of Tourism Sciences participated in the “Shareek” initiative, launched by the University of Mosul under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul. The initiative aims to provide a supportive space for entrepreneurial ideas and small projects in Nineveh Governorate, as well as to enhance the role of youth in social and economic development.
Students of the College of Tourism Sciences distinguished themselves during the activities of this initiative on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Their participation included a variety of creative contributions such as handmade crafts, the production of sweets and juices, fruit drying, bag design, as well as resin designs, reflecting their creativity and ability to transform academic knowledge into practical, productive outcomes.
The students’ participation was supervised by a group of the college’s faculty members and staff, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, Professor Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, and the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Zaid Mohammed Talal.
The Dean praised the students’ efforts and expressed her pride in their work, which reflects their high level of competence and excellence, emphasizing the college’s continuous support for such initiatives.
This participation aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 9 (Industry and Innovation), and Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
