The College of Tourism Sciences in Service of the Community

Under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, Prof. Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdullah Hussein, the College of Tourism Sciences organized a humanitarian visit to the orphanage on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, with the participation of a number of the college’s faculty members and staff.

During the visit, in-kind assistance and donations were provided to the children with the aim of bringing joy to their hearts and promoting the spirit of humanitarian support and social solidarity. The participants also reviewed the children’s conditions and needs, affirming the college’s commitment to contributing to the support and care of the most vulnerable groups in society.

This initiative comes in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 1: “No Poverty,” Goal 3: “Good Health and Well-being,” and Goal 10: “Reduced Inequalities.” The visit also reflects the commitment of the College of Tourism Sciences to community service and to strengthening humanitarian responsibility toward all segments of society.
