Dr. Mootaz Salman Al-Juboori, a graduate of College of Pharmacy won the Young Scientist Lectureship Award from the International Society for Neurochemistry, ISN, and the Asian-Pacific Society for Neurochemistry, APSN in an event held in Hawaii on August 28th – September 1st, 2022.The honor, which is given to distinguished scholars in the field, was given Mootaz in appreciation of his breakthrough research titled: Defining Mechanisms of Blood-Brain Barrier Dysfunction in Dementia using Organ-on-a-Chip Models.Noteworthy is that Mootaz leads research teams in the UK, USA and Canada in the specialism of Biochemistry with special focus on the brain-related dysfunctionalities like the dementia, Alzheimer, clogs… etc. and had achieved considerable results therein.
