The University Launches Program CAT
Implementing one of the important procedures of the Iraqi MOHESR agenda, University of Mosul launched the chemical assets tracking program, CAT, in a celebration organized by the CBRN of the University on December 15th, 2022.The celebration, to which Rector Assistant Munir Salim Taha, Dean of College of Education for Pure Sciences, Dr. Qays Ismail, and the CBRN manager, Dr. Muhannad Yaqdhan, and other officials attended, titled (Working Together for the Safety and Security of our Laboratories and Educational Institutions). Itincluded a review of what had been achieved through the joint work with the ministerial committee in terms of safety and security of the laboratories. Also, the official accounts of the CAT were dispensed among the relevant departments, distributed over 17 specialized stores for chemicals, and 350 scientific labs.It is worthwhile that the CBRN is to hold two-weeks courses involving both Universities of Mosul and of Nineveh besides the Office of Nineveh Governorate, on the CAT, how to deal with the anesthetic substances, and first aids courses for the postgraduate students.
