A Long-Term Scientific Cooperation Initiated With Bradford University

In accordance with University of Mosul’s policy which aims at being open to the world, advancing the scientific level and shedding light on its record and reality, Prof. Dr. Kossay Kamaladdin Al-Ahmady, Rector of University of Mosul and the delegation accompanying him met a deputation of Bradford University, UK represented by Rector’s assistant for education and researches, a Bradford University Council member and Dean of College of Electronics Engineering to discuss initiating a long-term scientific and academic cooperation between the two universities, on Saturday October 6 2019. In the beginning, the Rector, Al-Ahmedy briefed on the ruin and devastation the University suffered and its after-liberation rebirth. Then, the possible research programs that can be initiated between the two universities were discussed. Amongst these programs there was a research project that focuses on developing societies which is expected to considerably support the city of Mosul and to harness the university’s capabilities to build city community, because – according to the University’s vision – the university and society are one. Also, discussions were specially focused on establishing scientific cooperation between College of Medicine and College of Dentistry of University of Mosul and their counterparts of Bradford University.
