Eight Iraqi Universities Featured in QS Sustainability Rankings 2025

 

The results of the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025 have been announced, featuring nearly 1,800 universities worldwide. The rankings are based on a methodology comprising indicators measuring environmental impact (45%), social impact (44%), and governance (10%).

Eight Iraqi universities achieved competitive results in this classification, led by the University of Baghdad, followed by the universities of Anbar, Al-Nahrain, Babylon, Al-Mustansiriyah, Northern Technical University, Tikrit, and Mosul.

It is noteworthy that over 100 Iraqi universities and colleges compete in eight global rankings, placing Iraq 29th worldwide in terms of the number of universities ranked in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings and 7th globally in the Times Higher Education Sustainability Rankings.
