The College of Agriculture and Forestry Hosts an Awareness Seminar on Restricting Weapons to State Control

The College of Agriculture and Forestry at the University of Mosul, through its Quality Assurance and University Performance Division and in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Committee, held an awareness seminar titled “Restricting Weapons to State Control: Legal Frameworks as a Tool for a Secure Society” on Sunday, December 15, 2024.

The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Ahmed Fouad and included a detailed explanation of the importance of limiting weapons possession to state control. It emphasized the necessity of granting official licenses for owning a single firearm per household, with formal approval from the Ministry of Interior (possession only, without carrying). The seminar also highlighted the importance of collective efforts to finalize the weapons restriction file and reduce the proliferation of weapons outside the bounds of the law.
