The Women’s Affairs Committee, in collaboration with the Guidance Unit at the College of Science, University of Mosul, organized a workshop that began with a welcoming speech delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Iradah Abdulkhaliq Khalil. This was followed by a lecture presented by Assistant Lecturer Alin Muwafaq Khalil, addressing the topic of violence, its types, and its effects.

The workshop concluded with a lecture by Assistant Professor Dr. Mayada Muhammad Ahmad from the College of Law, focusing on the legal protection of women and the legal provisions that safeguard their rights and protect them from various forms of violence. Key legal references discussed included Article 19 of the Iraqi Constitution, the Personal Status Law No. 188, and the Domestic Violence Prevention Law No. 1 of 2011.
