The Women’s Affairs Unit at the Presidency of Mosul University… Achievements and Diligent Work for an Effective Role of Academic Women

Mosul University supports all its sectors, providing them with the necessary resources to sustain their contributions, and monitors their progress to ensure the success of their endeavors. Women at Mosul University are considered one of its key pillars.
The Women’s Affairs Unit at the university presidency has benefitted from this support, and its results were evident at the Festival of Development and Creativity organized by the Women’s Affairs Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, in Baghdad, with the attendance of Dr. Haider Abdul Duhd, the ministry’s undersecretary for scientific research.
This festival featured three main themes, during which the top five unit leaders were honored, with Mosul University achieving first place through the recognition of Ms. Suha Mohamed Tayeb with the Green Environment Award. Additionally, those with inspiring success stories and challenges also received first-place honors. The top graduate in the Media Department at the College of Arts, Nour Hamadi, for the academic year 2023-2024, was celebrated. The comprehensive artistic exhibition received admiration from the ministry’s undersecretary and the participating Iraqi universities. The exhibition showcased graduation projects from students of the Architecture Department at the College of Engineering, various products from the College of Pharmacy, and unique artworks and crafts from the Colleges of Fine Arts and Sciences, marking a distinction and success praised by attendees.
