Scientific Workshop at the College of Islamic Sciences Discusses Divorce Between the Objectives of Sharia and Its Impact on Society: Scientific Insights and Solutions

 

On Thursday, January 9, 2025, the College of Islamic Sciences concluded two scientific workshops as part of its continuing education activities, attended by the Dean of the College and several faculty members.

The workshops addressed divorce from a Qur’anic and interpretative perspective, highlighting its legal objectives, its impact on families and society, and the primary causes leading to divorce and its negative consequences.

The first workshop was conducted by Dr. Iman Ghanem Al-Samak, Assistant Lecturer Maher Mousa Darwish, and Assistant Lecturer Shaimaa Abdul Kareem Shaaban. The second workshop featured Dr. Mayson Younis Mahmoud, Assistant Lecturer Zainab Jamal Mohiuddin, and Assistant Lecturer Serab Salahuddin Mustafa.

Both workshops focused on providing practical solutions to reduce the spread of divorce, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and understanding within the family, as well as adhering to Sharia guidelines to achieve its noble objectives.
