The University of Mosul shone in the Al-Nour Quranic Competition organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research with the participation of 44 public and private universities. Abdulrahman Mohammed Shukr, a student from the College of Islamic Sciences, won first place in the Quranic interpretation branch.

The university also won third place at the team level in the memorization, recitation and interpretation branches, in which Abdulaziz Ali Mahmoud from the College of Education for Human Sciences won the memorization branch of the Holy Quran, and Hassan Omran Jassim from the College of Islamic Sciences won the recitation branch.

These results reflect the university’s academic excellence in promoting Quranic activities, and confirm the University of Mosul’s commitment to developing and activating student activities that contribute to raise the level of scientific and educational performance.
