The Center for Peacebuilding and Peaceful Coexistence at the University of Mosul collaborates with the Subcommittee for Countering Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism in South and West Mosul in the “International Day for Countering Violent Extremism” event

As part of the University of Mosul’s endeavor to establish the pillars of peaceful coexistence.
In the presence of Mr. Dr. Munir Salem Taha, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, the Center for Peacebuilding and Peaceful Coexistence, in cooperation with the Subcommittee for Countering Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism in South and West Mosul, held the International Day for Countering Violent Extremism event on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

The event discussed the methods of combating violent extremism and the programs and projects implemented by the University of Mosul in this regard.
It also presented the programs of the previously mentioned entities in combating violent extremism and intellectual extremism in Nineveh governorate, as well as reviewing the projects of local organizations in the same field through a panel discussion.

This event aims to emphasize the work to combat extremism in the post-crisis phase in Nineveh and Iraq, which requires concerted efforts from all parties to reach peaceful coexistence.
