On Monday, February 24, 2025, the activities of the first cybersecurity hackathon competition at the level of Iraqi universities, organized by the Electronic Computing Center at the University of Mosul, in cooperation with Taqa Computers, concluded.

The two-day competition witnessed wide participation from relevant disciplines as they competed to find innovative solutions to address cyberattacks and analyze risks. At its conclusion, Barzan Qusai Abdullah Al Akidi was honored for first place, Abdulrahman Majid Adnan for second place, and Saifuddin Mohammed Nouri for third place with valuable prizes provided by TAQA.

This initiative comes as part of the university’s efforts to enhance students’ skills in the field of cybersecurity and prepare a generation capable of protecting digital systems in the face of increasing challenges.
