Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, chaired on, Tuesday, the 13th session of the University Council for the academic year 2024-2025 in the presence of all members of the Council.

The council discussed a number of important topics, including urging faculty members to continue scientific research and publication in journals located within the sober international journals, the need to follow up the heads of scientific departments in colleges for the teaching reality and the extent and impact of using modern technology in delivering lectures and emphasizing the importance of student interaction and motivation in order to develop the educational and scientific process.

The session also included a discussion of mechanisms for joint cooperation between colleges in order to develop buildings, gardens and green spaces in line with the approach of sustainability, reducing the effects of pollution and preserving the environment.

The session set April 13, 2025 as the date for the celebration of the anniversary of the founding of the University of Mosul and discussed the organization of events, activities and cultural shows for students on this occasion.

A number of paragraphs on the agenda of the Council were also discussed.
