Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, chaired on, Wednesday, April 9, 2025, the 14th session of the University Council meeting for the academic year 2024-2025, in the presence of all members of the Council.

Mr. Al-Ibrahimi started the session by congratulating all university personnel and formations on the occasion of our university obtaining institutional accreditation.

The meeting included important topics, the most important of which was the need to continue to urge educators to continue scientific research, which is one of the most prominent measures of academic excellence leading to positive and important developments in their scientific disciplines that give them the ability to teach at a renewed level.

The session also discussed the most important steps that must be taken to obtain program accreditation, which enhances the employment opportunities for graduates.

The meeting also addressed the most important criteria for scientific journals to obtain the determinants of their entry into Scopus by enhancing their impact factor, and emphasizing the review of all requirements and their fulfillment of academic and professional standards before submission.

The Council discussed the activities of the University’s 58th anniversary celebration, which will start at 6 pm on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
