On Sunday, April 13, 2025, the University of Mosul inaugurated the Dry and Conservation Agriculture Research Center, in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the Chairman of the Council of Directors of Al-Noor University, Dr. Bashar Mahmoud, in the presence of Mr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi.

The inauguration included a comprehensive review of the stages of rehabilitation and development of the center, reflecting the efforts made to reactivate its role in supporting scientific research and promoting sustainable agricultural practices in areas with limited water resources.

The center is a qualitative addition to the university’s research infrastructure and an important tributary to agricultural development programs in Nineveh Governorate.
