Creativity against corruption… art that inspires change

With this slogan, the 31st edition of the creative arts competition at the University of Mosul was held.
Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, opened the ceremony announcing its results on, Thursday, April 17, 2025, in the hall of the university’s large theater.
It included a full program that started with honoring his Excellency from the Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the competition, Prof. Dr. Nashat Mubarak Saliwa, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, and then presented the University’s honor to the Chairman and members of the Supreme and Technical Committee supervising the competition.
After that, the results of the students and affiliates who won the competition were announced, where the first and second place winners were honored by Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi.
The exhibition of the contestants’ products was then opened, which included various manual and industrial works, students’ design projects, plastic art and others.
A number of members of the University Council honored the arbitration committees, the supporting committees, as well as the third place winners of the contestants.
It is noteworthy that the participants competed in 8 creative disciplines: literary, plastic, design, performing and visual arts, promoting community values and combating deviations, journalistic works, handicrafts, and tonal arts.
With this brilliance, the University of Mosul will remain the center of science and creativity, the nurturer of energies, and the gateway to hope for a better tomorrow.
