Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, received a delegation from the Mar Mati Monastery , headed by His Excellency Bishop Mar Timthaus Moussa, in a visit aimed at enhancing communication and cooperation between the two institutions and consolidating the values of peaceful coexistence between the components of Nineveh Governorate.

The visit comes within the framework of mutual relations between the university and religious and cultural institutions, where the two sides discussed the importance of building community partnerships that support diversity and national cohesion, and emphasize the role of universities and churches in spreading the culture of peace and mutual respect.
