To enhance its scientific standing locally and internationally, the University of Mosul inaugurated today, Thursday, May 22, 2025, in the central laboratory of the College of Science, the Stem and Cancer Cell Culture Unit.

Prof. Dr. Hayam Adel, Dean of the College attended the inauguration .

The unit includes stem and cancer cell lines isolated from different sources.

It is an advanced platform that allows professors, researchers and graduate students to conduct accurate scientific experiments on living cells that mimic the biological environment of living organisms, enabling the study of complex diseases in an in-depth manner based on living cellular models.

This unit is a key pillar to support advanced research in areas such as cancer, regenerative medicine, and molecular therapeutics.

The opening of this unit also opens up possibilities for academic and scientific collaboration locally and internationally.
