College of Engineering pioneers homemade jammers in exams

The College of Engineering implemented for the first time at the University of Mosul a homemade jamming device inside exam halls to enhance academic integrity, on Monday, May 26, 2025.
The device disrupts the 2.4GHz frequency signals used in wireless cheating devices such as microphones.
It was manufactured by computer engineering students, Mohammed Dhargham Jassim and Abdullah Nazar, under the supervision of instructor Dr. Mustafa Seham Abdul Rahman.
The device is characterized by its low cost, ease of transportation, and operation without a constant power source.
This achievement comes in support of the goals of quality education and innovation as part of sustainable development.
