The Dams and Water Resources Research Center at the University of Mosul has achieved a remarkable research achievement, represented by the publication of a scientific research prepared by Dr. Ihsan Fasih Hassan, in cooperation with a research team, in the Hydrological Sciences Journal, which is classified within the Clarivate and Scopus Q1 repositories, which has a CiteScore of 6.6 and an Impact Factor of 3.9.
The paper analyzed the joint recurrence intervals of drought characteristics using a modified multivariate drought index and is a significant scientific contribution to support advanced research in the field of water resources management, especially in light of the challenges associated with climate change and increasing drought conditions.
