The Civil Defense Division at the Presidency of the University of Mosul held an introductory workshop on, Thursday, June 19, 2025, on the most important public safety procedures, titled “Public Safety and Fire Prevention, Types of Fire Extinguishers, and How to Use Them.”

Attendees included the staff of the Central Library. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Sufyan Idris Muhammad, the head of the division.

The workshop included a detailed explanation of the most important fire prevention measures that may occur, the various types of fires, and how to use the appropriate fire extinguishers. He emphasized the university’s commitment to providing these measures in its scientific and service facilities to protect its staff from their dangerous effects and to mitigate them for everyone’s safety.
