The University of Mosul team delivered an outstanding performance in the XO championship organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports / Scientific Support Department in Baghdad from 22 to 25 June 2025, with the participation of teams representing universities and schools from different governorates.

The University of Mosul team was able to qualify for the final stage after defeating Baghdad Al-Rusafa team, to later face Baghdad Al-Karkh team in the final match, and achieved victory, winning the first place at the level of universities and winning the championship cup.

On Wednesday, 6/25/2025, the university team participated in the super match against the winning team from the school teams, and succeeded in winning the Super Cup, achieving impressive results that reflect the level of performance and excellence of the University of Mosul students.

The team included students:
– Abdulmonem Saleh – Third Stage / Management Information Systems
– Ahmed Younis Bilal – Fourth Stage / Mechanical Engineering
– Hussein Ali Yassin – Third Stage / Architecture Engineering
– Diaa Salahuddin – Fourth Stage / New and Renewable Energies

The university was represented by Ammar Jabbar Alwan, chief engineer, and Mr. Bassam Qalandar, director of the Scientific Support Department in Nineveh.
