The Department of Studies and Planning at the Presidency of the University of Mosul organized a specialized workshop entitled “The Times Rankings and Filling Tables for Sustainable Development” on Monday, July 7, 2025.

The workshop aimed to clarify the mechanisms for preparing the data required for the Times Sustainable Development Rankings (The Impact Rankings), and to explain the steps for filling in the tables for the indicators adopted by the United Nations in assessing the extent of universities’ commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The lectures were delivered by Dr. Raad Ahmed Ayoub, head of the Sustainable Development Unit, and Dr. Anas Maan Taher

They gave a thorough presentation on the technical requirements for documenting the indicators, the mechanism for collecting data from colleges, and the importance of institutional documentation in supporting the university’s position in international rankings.

It was attended by Prof. Dr. Muthanna Sobhi Suleiman, Director of the Department, officials of the Studies and Planning Division, and members of the Sustainable Development Liaison in the university colleges.

During the workshop, the most prominent challenges facing data collection mechanisms and standardization of data sources were discussed, and a number of recommendations were made that contribute to improving performance and facilitating the process of entering data into the rankings.

This workshop comes as a confirmation of the university’s efforts to enhance its global academic presence and achieve institutional excellence in the fields of education and scientific research.
