The International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) at the University of Mosul visits the British Council’s main office in Erbil

On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, the staff of the International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) unit at the University of Mosul paid an official visit to the British Council’s main office in Erbil, at the invitation of the British Council.
The delegation was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Maher Sami Hassan and a number of members, and a specialized team of invigilators.
The visit aimed to review the latest developments and updates related to the IELTS test, discussing ways to improve and develop the services provided to examiners at the center, the new technical and organizational updates of the test, and exchanging experiences and proposals that would raise the quality of performance in testing centers, in addition to providing support and facilities for staff and examiners alike.
The meeting discussed the possibility of introducing additional features and services that contribute to enhancing the efficiency of the Mosul Center, in line with international standards and meeting the needs of students from Nineveh Governorate, neighboring governorates, and Iraq in general.
This visit confirms the University of Mosul’s keenness on academic openness and the development of international partnerships, which enhances the university’s position and its pioneering role in providing advanced educational and assessment services.
