Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, received Dr. Najla Mohsen Al-Waeli, General Director of the technical department at the Ministry of Environment and the Eng. Sinan Subhi, Nineveh Environment Director, accompanied with a delegation from the Fund of environmental protection and improvement to discuss the mutual scientific, environmental cooperation and discussing the projects of establishing natural reserves, in addition to desertification combat file.

The meeting tackled the contributions of Mosul University in choosing the appropriate locations for natural reserves projects, cooperation with the Ministry and the Fund in funding related researches and studies that contributes in protect the environment and enhance the sustainable development in the region.

The delegation visited many facilities of the University, to see the progress of the university and its research, scientific capabilities that can be hired in serving which can be used to serve priority environmental issues.
