Prime Minister Mohammed Shea’a Al-Sudani visits the University of Mosul and delivers an important speech in its grand theater

After inaugurating a number of major projects in the city of Mosul, including Mosul Airport, the Nineveh Refinery, the Maternity Hospital, and the Great Nuri Mosque, and touring its markets and alleys, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani made another stop at the University of Mosul, where he delivered a speech at its grand theater on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-ibrahimi the President of the University and his scientific and administrative assistans and its Council members recived his excellency.
He was accompanied on his visit by Mr. Abdul Qadir Al-Dakhil, Governor of Nineveh.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Defense, Mr. Thabit Al-Abbasi, a number of representatives from Nineveh, dignitaries, tribal leaders, and well-known religious and cultural figures.
In his speech, he expressed his happiness with the progress of the reconstruction movement in the city and its university, stressing the government’s keenness to continue its support and work and to provide the necessary facilities for the continuity of giving in order to advance humanity and its environment and develop it in a manner parallel to what has been achieved in the world, keeping pace with it for the advancement of the great Iraq.
He called on everyone to unite, cooperate, and work together to preserve the achievements and continue the process of building people and the nation together.
