On Thursday, July 17, 2025, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, concluded his participation in the developmental course for university leaders, organized by the Higher Institute for Leadership Preparation and Qualification, which lasted for ten days, with the participation of a group of Iraqi university presidents.

This course comes as part of a national strategic initiative aimed at developing senior leadership competencies in higher education institutions, through an integrated training program that forms a qualitative platform for academic decision-makers and focuses on improving institutional performance, raising the efficiency of universities in the fields of classification and academic accreditation, as well as strengthening international partnerships.

The course sought to enable them to lead the qualitative transformation in higher education, according to the requirements of the fourth and fifth generation of universities, contributing to building productive and influential universities that are considered an important source of achieving sustainable development goals, within the framework of a national vision that aims to upgrade the university system in Iraq towards more modern and distinguished horizons.
