On Sunday, July 27, 2025, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, held discussions and exchanged views and proposals with Mr. Axel Klapwijk, Director of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), Mr. Marc-André, Director of the German Development Bank (KFW), and Mr. Aryan Abdul Qader, the bank’s representative in Iraq.

The talks focused on key aspects of the upcoming solar energy project, which is expected to be launched soon, as well as future cooperation projects with GIZ. These initiatives aim to support research directions and the implementation of important projects that benefit both the university and the city.
