With Ongoing Supervision of University Operations,President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, Pays a Visit to the College of Nursing

On Monday, July 28, 2025, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, conducted a visit to the College of Nursing, accompanied by Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jassim, the Assistant of the President for Scientific Affairs.

They were received by Assistant Professor Dr. Tahseen Mohsen Hussein, Dean of the College, along with his scientific and administrative assistants.

During his tour, the University President met with department heads and faculty members, listening to updates on operational procedures and the essential needs to ensure continuity. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to meeting these needs in order to fulfill its mission of being a hub for high-quality scientific research across all disciplines.

In the area of academic publishing, he encouraged faculty members to target reputable international journals with strong impact factors and to work on enhancing the quality and reputation of the College of Nursing’s scientific journal.

Regarding students enrolled in the “Study in Iraq” program, he emphasized the importance of providing all necessary facilities and services to ensure their success, which reflects the robustness of Iraq’s higher education system.

He added that the university is consistently working to expand vertically in academic specialization—particularly by initiating a doctoral program at the College of Nursing and establishing new academic departments, in alignment with global advancements and the rapid pace of scientific knowledge.
