College of Nursing at the University of Mosul Discusses Master’s Thesis on Empowering Nurses in Sustainable Healthcare

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, the College of Nursing at the University of Mosul held a master’s thesis discussion titled “The Effectiveness of an Educational Program to Empower Nurses on Sustainable Healthcare in Mosul Public Hospitals.” The session was attended by Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul.

The discussion committee featured distinguished academic participation, chaired by Professor Dr. Amin Ajeel Yasser, President of the University of Babylon, with Assistant Professor Dr. Humam Ghanem Ibrahim and Lecturer Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Sultan as members. The thesis was supervised by Professor Dr. Radwan Hussein Ibrahim, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Nineveh.

The thesis, presented by graduate student Ikram Ziyad Hamed, addressed key scientific themes focusing on the development and implementation of an educational program aimed at enhancing the competencies of nurses in Mosul’s public hospitals and promoting the principles of sustainable healthcare, thereby contributing to the improvement of service quality in public health institutions.
