As part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and academic institutions, the University of Mosul hosted the affiliation and journalistic status change exam on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

The event was attended by Dr. Adnan Lafta, Head of the Examination Committee at the Syndicate’s General Headquarters, and Mr. Noufal Al-Rawi, Head of the Syndicate’s Nineveh Branch, along with a number of syndicate members.

There were 97 applicants, including graduates from the Department of Media at the College of Arts, as well as journalists from various areas across Nineveh Province.

The selection of the University of Mosul to host this event reflects its distinguished academic standing and affirms its supportive role in promoting freedom of expression and professional journalism.
