On Monday, August 4, 2025, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, attended a scientific workshop titled “Mechanisms for Publishing Scientific Research in International Indexes and Opportunities for Scholarships and International Fellowships for Researchers.” The workshop was delivered by Dr. Moataz Mowafaq Salman Al-Jubouri, a distinguished pharmacologist and alumnus of the University of Mosul.

The event was also attended by Prof. Dr. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jassim, Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rafal Hassan Hamed, Administrative Assistant to the President, members of the University Council, and a group of faculty members.

Dr. Al-Jubouri presented key steps and best practices for preparing and publishing high-quality scientific research in reputable global indexing platforms, emphasizing the importance of selecting journals with high impact factors that align with international standards in research and publication.

He also addressed the procedures for applying to scholarships, fellowships, and international grants, highlighting the critical role these opportunities play in advancing researchers’ academic and scientific competencies. Dr. Al-Jubouri praised the University of Mosul’s accelerating progress toward academic excellence in these fields.

The workshop concluded with a Q&A session and open discussion among participants.
