University of Mosul Follows Up on Students’ Summer Internship Programs

In line with the directives of Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, regarding the importance of monitoring students participating in summer internship programs across public and private sector institutions, the Career Development, Employment, and Follow-Up Division at the University Presidency conducted a field visit to Asiacell Telecommunications Company in Nineveh Province.

The visit, supervised by Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jassim, the Assistant of the President for Scientific Affairs, aimed to check on students from the College of Engineering currently interning at the company and to assess the progress and benefits of their practical training.

The university delegation included:

Dr. Omar Qusay Jassim, Head of the Career Development, Employment, and Follow-Up Division

Dr. Azzam Adnan Mohammed, Head of the Internship Unit at the College of Engineering

Mr. Ahmed Abdul Karim, Communications Unit Officer in the Follow-Up Division

The team reviewed the training modules provided by Asiacell, which include:

Mobile network maintenance

Network installation

Scheduled electronic management

Handling technical and software-related issues in mobile devices

These trainings are delivered as part of the company’s “Asas” program, designed to equip students with hands-on skills in real-world environments.

This visit reflects the University of Mosul’s ongoing efforts to strengthen students’ practical experiences and prepare them for the labor market by effectively linking academic education with applied training in specialized institutions.
