On Monday, 11 August, 2025, the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-ibrahimi, received in his office the Governor of Nineveh Mr. Abdul Qadeer Al-dakheel.
The meeting tackled the reconstruction achievements of Mosul and rehabilitation of its infrastructure to serve the citizen and supporting the development process, in addition to review the reconstruction of the university and its scientific, academic, services achievements to serve its affiliates and society. The two sides emphasized the importance of joint cooperation between the university and Governorate to promote the city’s construction and development path.
This comes as a step to complete the rehabilitation the stadium of Mosul University to hold the sport activates, they discussed the adoption of the Reconstruction Fund for Affected Areas for these phases, which would restore the stadium to its status as a distinguished sports facility serving the city and its students.
