University of Mosul President Reviews RFID Technology at the Central Library

Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, reviewed the operation of Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology at the Central Library, one of the latest innovations in library management. He also inspected the training courses provided to the staff operating this technology, which include the use of electronic security gates and self-checkout devices, helping to streamline lending services and efficiently manage the movement of library materials.
This step comes as part of the Central Library restoration project implemented by UNESCO, with support from the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, aimed at upgrading the library’s infrastructure and equipping it with the latest international systems. The initiative seeks to enhance the quality of services offered to students and researchers, and to strengthen the library’s role as a comprehensive knowledge hub.
