Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, received on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, Ms. Zlikha Elias Qali Bakar, Member of Parliament representing Nineveh Province, warmly welcoming her and expressing appreciation for her visit.

The MP praised the university’s scientific and service accomplishments, particularly within the framework of rebuilding and restoring what had been damaged, achieved through the dedicated efforts of its leadership and staff. She highlighted the most recent achievement—the rehabilitation of the linear accelerator—which will provide vital medical services to cancer patients and spare them the hardship and expense of traveling to other provinces for treatment.

For his part, the University President affirmed that the University of Mosul will remain a hub of scientific and service contributions, steadfast in fulfilling its mission to serve the community, the province, and the great nation of Iraq.
