On the morning of Wednesday, August 13, 2025, the University of Mosul officially opened the new headquarters of its Technology Incubator, in the presence of University President Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, the Assistant of the President for Scientific Affairs, several deans, and members of the teaching staff.

This opening marks a significant step in the university’s efforts to support innovation and entrepreneurship, providing a fully equipped environment to nurture the ideas and projects of students and graduates. The initiative aims to contribute to the local and regional labor market with high-caliber talents and impactful ventures.

The University President emphasized that the incubator represents a key pillar in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s vision to strengthen the knowledge economy and drive progress toward technology and innovation across various sectors.

The opening ceremony featured a presentation of the incubator’s most notable recent activities, including training programs and specialized workshops in entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology project management. Attendees also viewed prototypes of devices and technical projects developed by university students, showcasing the creativity and excellence of the academic community’s youth.
