As part of his commitment to supporting academic programs and strengthening the progress of postgraduate studies, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, received in his office on Monday, August 18, 2025, the committee tasked with establishing a PhD program in the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Basic Education, in the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Younis Saleh, Dean of the College.

During the meeting, the President emphasized the importance of completing all requirements for the establishment of the program in accordance with the regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in a way that enhances the position of the University of Mosul and its pioneering role in the field of postgraduate studies.

He further stressed that scientific research represents a fundamental pillar in the development of society, and it is an essential part of the responsibilities and academic load of faculty members. Thus, the establishment of this program carries significant value for advancing the university’s scientific and research mission.

It was also noted that the introduction of advanced postgraduate programs will open new horizons for researchers in the fields of Arabic language and its sciences, thereby strengthening the university’s contribution to supplying society with highly qualified academic expertise.
