University of Mosul Organizes Field Visit to Orphanage in Mosul City

Under the patronage of the University of Mosul President, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Saad Ramadan Mohammed Al-Jubouri, Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, a delegation from the University Presidency and the College of Education for Humanities organized a field visit on Sunday, August 24, 2025, to the Boys’ Orphanage (Al-Bara’em) and Girls’ Orphanage (Al-Zohour) in Mosul city.
The delegation included Dr. Said Khidida Al-Sanjari, Head of the Human Rights Department at the University Presidency, Prof. Dr. Nidal Moayad Malallah, Head of the History Department at the College, Lecturer Asmaa Khaled Jergis, Sustainable Development Liaison Officer, and Assistant Lecturer Saba Salem Sheet, Head of the Human Rights Unit at the College.
During the visit, the delegation met with the orphanage management and reviewed its basic needs. They offered various forms of support and assistance, emphasizing the provision of essential supplies in the future.
On the sidelines of the visit, the importance of linking these initiatives to the sustainable development programs that the university and the college aim to activate was emphasized. A set of proposals for supporting the orphanage was discussed and will be submitted to the relevant authorities, as part of the university’s vision to enhance human and social communication with community institutions.
