Rector Kossay Al-Ahmady received a group of youth, who work at a virtual reality project on Thursday, May 21, 2020. The aim of the project is to revive the relics of Nineveh, turning them into applications, 3D Models and videos. The project involves rebuilding the relics and antiquity of Nineveh, with their subtle details ‘virtually,’ in an attempt to maintain them against the elements and the warfare and sabotage inflicted to them.The meeting was concluded by the agreement from the part of the University to charge College of Engineering and College of Antiquities to support the effort technically and by advising. Noteworthy is that the project is an important step toward maintaining, re-fielding, and reintroducing these antiquities to the world, digitally.
