Under the patronage of Basra Governorate, the supervision of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Iraqi Association for Medical Researches and Studies held a symposium titled (Iraqi Scientific Journals: Challenges and Future Prospects) on November 21th, 2020.The event, to which two SCOPUS-indexed scientific journals of University of Mosul, the Iraqi Journal for Veterinary Sciences, represented by Editor-in-chief, Prof. Dr. Munir Salim Taha and the Nursing Journal of College of Nursing, represented by Editor-in-chief, Prof. Dr. Radwan Hussein Ibrahim, were invited, aimed at introducing the experiences of these journals to encourage other journals to take the same course of action. The symposium ended up with recommendations passed to the Ministry to be adopted.
