In the presence of Rector Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Munir Salim Taha, the Students Science and Creativity Team of College of Science, in cooperation with Department of Physics and Directorate of Sunni Endowments, Nineveh, held the first astronomical camp atop the building of Department of English Language, College of Education, the highest building in campus, on Sunday December 27th, 2020.The camp aims to introduce the students to the operation of telescopes and availing them the chance to practice observation. Noteworthy is that the schedule of the camp included lectures on astronomy that tackled planets, stars, meteorology and other celestial phenomena, and in practice, the team conducted the observation of Jupiter and Saturn.
