On Wednesday evening, September 3, 2025, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, participated in the central celebration of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday held at Al-Noori Mosque in Mosul.

The event witnessed wide attendance from official figures, led by the Governor of Nineveh and members of the Provincial Council, alongside religious, academic, and social personalities. During his speech, the university president emphasized the importance of recalling the noble biography of the Prophet and the values of tolerance, coexistence, and peace embodied by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The president’s participation in this celebration reflects the University of Mosul’s role in strengthening community ties and commemorating religious and national occasions that foster unity and love among the people of the city.
