In a pioneering research step, the Psychological Support Unit for Children with Autism at the University of Mosul stands out by providing artificial intelligence technology to diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorder in children.

The unit is one of the first research centers in Iraq to use an eye-tracking device as an advanced tool for early detection of autism, significantly enhancing the chances for early therapeutic intervention and psychological support for children.

Additionally, the unit is working on creating a comprehensive database, the third of its kind globally, hosted by the University of Mosul. This database will serve as a scientific reference, contributing to the development of diagnostic methods and academic and medical support for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
