The Department of Scientific Affairs at the Presidency of the University of Mosul held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, a special event for the “Three Minutes Thesis” competition for doctoral students. The competition aims to assess the researchers’ ability to present their research projects in a concise and practical manner, thereby enhancing their scientific presentation and academic communication skills.

This activity comes as a preparatory step to qualify the students for participation in the final stage of the competition, which will be conducted with the involvement of a specialized ministerial committee. The competition is considered part of the academic evaluation criteria for PhD students.

The judging panel was chaired by Professor Dr. Rayan Thanoon Ghazi, with membership including Assistant Professor Dr. Rasha Khalid Sabri and Lecturer Dr. Ahmed Rakan.
