On Sunday, September 14, 2025, the Department of Scientific Affairs at the Presidency of the University of Mosul conducted the second test for PhD students as part of the preparations for the “Three Minutes Thesis” competition, which will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, under the supervision of a specialized ministerial committee.

The competition aims to test researchers’ ability to present their research projects concisely and effectively within just three minutes, thereby enhancing their skills in brief scientific presentation and improving their competence in conveying complex ideas to a non-specialist audience. It is considered an important component of the scientific evaluation process for PhD students.

The judging panel was chaired by Professor Dr. Rayan Thanoon Ghazi, with Assistant Professor Dr. Rasha Khalid Sabri and Lecturer Dr. Ahmed Rakan serving as members. The competition took place in a positive academic atmosphere that reflected the outstanding level and research competence of the students.
